The Bexley Beer Festival returns for the eighth year from April 4 to 6.

The grand event has moved to the Old Dartfordians Sports Club in Bourne Road, Bexley. There will be more than 65 different types of beer and cider to enjoy.

Alan Boakes has been one of the principal volunteers organising the Bexley Beer Festival since it began back in 2006.

He said: “Not only does real ale appreciation give due respect to our county and national heritage but it is good to know, in this time of food scares, that our traditionally-produced fare has a sound provenance: you can visit many of the breweries from which real ales come, and there is no internationally convoluted food chain.”
