A Bexley school and a team of Bexley volunteers both took home awards at the Team London awards ceremony on Monday night.

Bexley charity North West Kent Countryside Partnership volunteers, took home the team award for greening and cleaning at mayor Boris Johnson’s team London award’s ceremony.

Also present was Brampton Primary Academy, as they picked up the Unilever award.

Over 60 organisations and volunteers were shortlisted for a team London award, created to recognise the exceptional achievements of volunteers across the capital.

Speaking of the award ceremony, Mr Johnson said: “These are the unsung heroes of our capital and this annual Team London celebration allows us to give them the recognition they truly deserve.”

The award ceremony took place at City Hall on Monday evening.
