The ceremony will no longer take place on June 8

A celebration of the best of Bexley’s businesses has had to change its awards’ night date due to the general election.

The Bexley Business Excellence Awards Gala Dinner was due to take place on June 8, but following prime minister Theresa May’s announcement, the date has been moved back.

Organisers White Label and Bexley council have apologised for any inconvenience caused.

The move means winners of the 13 awards up for grabs will be announced at the Bexleyheath Marriott Hotel on June 21.
