Popular reality show is just the latest of firm’s high-profile clients

A Bexley firm is raising a glass to its involvement this week with long-running reality TV show Big Brother.

Mobile Bar Hire, which is based on the Optima Park in Thomas Road, was approached by the popular program’s producers to supply a bar counter and not a normal wooden one - the one that appeared in Monday’s episode contained LEDs and had the ability to change colour as did the ice buckets the firm also supplied.

It is not the first time the firm has been approached by TV producers having also provided bars and equipment to The One Show, Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, Let’s Do Lunch with Gino and Mel and the US TV drama ‘Guilt’.

Company director Rags Sandhu said: “Having now worked with most of the major TV channels in the UK in the last year, it is a credit to our team to know we are providing a service of a high enough standard to be seen by millions.

“Big Brother is another strong tick in our box but we are constantly wanting to better ourselves and will continue to look onwards and upwards.”

Mobile Bar Hire Ltd specialise in providing bar counters and hospitality solutions for events and was established in 2002 from a garden shed with just one bar counter.

As the company grew, it purchased a 5,000sq foot warehouse to house its 28 different styles of bar counter, and in 2013 it won the best hospitality award in the Bexley Business Awards.
