Bexley Council to shake up housing policy

PUBLISHED: 14:48 15 November 2013 | UPDATED: 12:29 19 November 2013

Residents have until November 20 to complete an online form to Bexley Council so their housing application can be assessed against the authority’s new policy.

The council has almost 11,000 applicants registered for social housing in the borough and an average of only 700 properties available, so residents already on the housing register must have their applications reassessed.

Those returning their forms by November 20 will learn of the outcome by the end of the month while late applications will be processed until the end of the year.

The form is available at www.bexley.gov.uk/housingallocations where there is further information about the policy change.

Anyone that has difficulty completing the online form should call 020 8303 7777.
