Bexley garden of remembrance to open

The Bexleyheath and Welling branch of the Royal British Legion will open a garden of remembrance at 11am on October 27 at Christ Church in The Broadway.

Members of the public will be able to place a cross in memory of lost relatives and friends.

The garden will be open for two weeks until after Armistice Day.

Its opening ties in with the first day of the poppy appeal. The branch is still looking for volunteers to help run stalls in the borough.
