Hall Place gardens in Bexley have been targeted twice by vandals this month.

The culprits have uprooted and stolen a number of shrubs on April 14 and last Sunday (April 21)

Estate manager Tony Nield said he thinks people have been breaking in to sell blossom on to florists.

“All the staff are very upset about this. Our collection of cherries, in full blossom, has been decimated. “Two mature trees have been completely destroyed so we’re worried about replanting and replacing at the moment.”
