Bexley Heritage Trust were honoured in an environmental challenge for their wildlife corner at Hall Place.

The site was created from recycled materials and planted with native species and has a pond, meadow, ‘mini-beast area’, complete with bug hotel and bird hide.

Benches surrounding the pond were salvaged from the old changing rooms for the sports pitches at Hall Place.

The bug hotel was built from materials collected on the estate and the turf was off-cuts from a landscape contractor.

The group were commended in the Bexley Environmental Challenge. To visit the corner at Hall Place, call on 01322 526574.
