Sports clubs in Bexley are offering taster sessions to beginners to try and tap into the Olympic spirit.

Bexley council is running a join in scheme over the next few months

Olympic legacy site Erith Yacht Club has released its autumn programme, Bexley Judo Club is looking for newcomers to the sport and Bexley Bootcamp, aimed at whipping people into shape, will be running throughout this season at Hall Place.

Cllr Don Massey said: “Bexley is blessed with a huge network of local sports clubs and many are running events and taster sessions in response to London 2012.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity for people to try their hand at something new and work towards a more active and healthy lifestyle.”
