Bexley police appoint Superintendent of Operations

Bexley police has welcomed a top new officer. Peter Ayling has been named Superintendent of Police Operations.
The 35-year-old has only been with the Metropolitan Police since December of last year, and was posted to Southwark borough.
He started his career with Kent police in 1998 and has been involved in a number of cross-border initiatives with Bexley borough after been appointed Chief Inspector of Operations in north Kent in 2008.
Supt Ayling said: “I am delighted to be joining Bexley police.
“I know the borough well as a resident and I look forward to my role here.”
