Bexley police officer charged with perverting the course of justice

A serving police officer has been charged today with perverting the course of justice.

Det Con Darren McCabe, 48, has been bailed and will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on September 26.

McCabe, who was based in Bexley, has been suspended.

The investigation is being run by the Directorate of Professional Standards and arrested McCabe on March 26.
