Bexley Police recovering dead body from Thames

Police in Bexley are attempting to recover a body from the Thames.

Officers were joined by the Met’s Marine Unit this morning and remain on the scene.

It is thought police were called to the body in the river at around 11.45am.

A tweet from @MPSonthewater said: “Marine 31 is en route to @MPSBexley to assist local officers with the unfortunate task of recovering a body from a river.”
