Dog walkers and their pooches are on patrol for naughty going-ons in Bexley thanks to the launch of a successful Hound Watch.

The partnership scheme between Bexley Police and Bexley Neighbourhood Watch Association got off to a great start at Friday’s launch.

More than 90 dogwalkers signed up to report any unusual sights while they’re out on their rounds.

The scheme was proposed because dogwalkers “tend to be out and about during the day” and can see or hear things relating to crime or anti-social behaviour, according to Sgt Mark Rudd.
