Bexley pupils receive awards for ‘exceptional’ achievements

More than 100 pupils from schools in Bexley have been recognised at a special ceremony.

The students were nominated by teachers for exceptional behaviour, outstanding results and for school community work, such as mentoring, and were presented with certificates by Mayor of Bexley, Cllr Sharon Massey, at Bexley Civic Offices, Broadway, Bexleyheath.

A total of 58 pupils were nominated from 25 primary schools, and a further 53 from 19 secondary schools.

Cllr John Fuller, cabinet member for education, said: “Once again the borough has seen some amazing results at all stages.”
