Pupils from 11 primary schools in Bexley will have the opportunity to experience the beauty of cinema for free during National Schools Film Week.

Schools including Barrington, Windrush, Brampton and Hurst have entered 1,677 children in total into the initiative which is designed to get children interested in cinema.

Films such as Hunger Games, Hugo and Brave will be on display.

The films will be shown in Cineworld Bexleyheath, in The Broadway, from October 16 to October 26.

Director of Film Week Nick Walker said: “This festival will give teachers the tools to encourage students to explore and understand new cinematic worlds.”
