Bexley residents urged to get active and get fit

PUBLISHED: 17:19 16 July 2013 | UPDATED: 17:19 16 July 2013

Bexley is launching an exciting new physical activity programme for families with children aged seven to 11 who want to get active together and have fun.

The programme is supporting the Change 4 Life Get Going campaign and aims to encourage families to be more active this summer.

The programme offers a wide range of activities to help increase physical activity levels including dance, boot camps, football, tennis and cricket.

It runs over six sessions and costs £27 per family per course, or £15 for concessions per course.

Sessions are available in several locations including Danson Park, Hall Place and Sporting Club Thamesmead.

Cllr Don Massey, cabinet member for community safety and leisure, said: “This programme is a fantastic opportunity to get children involved in sport and at the same time help them get healthy and active.”
