All but one school in Bexley reopened today as the area returned to normal after days of heavy snow.

Castilion School in Copperfield Road, Thamesmead, has stayed shut due to safety fears but the rest of the borough’s schools which were closed yesterday are open.

Southeastern trains, who experienced some severe delays, said they are expecting to run a full timetable today but said icy conditions could cause disruptions to some services.
