A student was awarded a certificate of achievement as part of the Adult Learners’ Week Awards.

Bexley College student Bukola Lagundoye was nominated following a unanimous decision made by her tutors and lecturers, who praised her dedication.

Bukola successfully completed her Access to Higher Education Health and Human Sciences diploma and is due to begin a BA (Sc)Nursing Degree at the University of West London.

She said: “I always try my best, do everything to the best of my ability and more often than not, I get a distinction.”

Bukola, who was employed as a support worker while bringing up her four children and fell pregnant with her fifth while studying for her diploma, said she feels that Bexley College has been more than helpful in preparing her for her future through motivation and support and she has enjoyed every day.
