Bexley-born X Factor contender Sam Bailey has chosen her song for the programme’s second live show tomorrow night.

The 36-year-old mum-of-two has gone for Make You Feel My Love by Adele - the theme for the show, broadcast at 8pm on ITV, is love and heartbreak.

Prison guard Sam, who grew up in Bexley and went to Cleeve Park School in Bexley Road, Sidcup, received gushing praise from all four judges for her performance of Jennifer Rush’s 80s ballad The Power of Love.

She is down to the final 11 contestants and will hope to avoid being in the bottom two following the public vote, who compete for survival in a sing-off in Sunday’s live show.
