Ten talented finalists are all hoping to be chosen as Bexley Young Musician of the Year for 2018.

The awards are part of a series of projects for young people promoted by Rotary up and down the country.

This event is organised jointly by the four Rotary Clubs in Bexley, and culminates in a biennial awards concert.

Sidcup Rotarian Maurice Tripp said: “I have been mc. at this event for the past 24 years.

It is good to know that we have so many talented young people in Bexley.”

Each finalist will receive certificates, souvenir photographs and a cheque for £100.

The overall winner will also receive the Bexley Young Musician of the Year Cup which will be held for two years, plus a replica cup to keep.

The finals will take place at the Townley Theatre, Townley Road, Bexleyheath, at 7pm on Saturday March 3.

Tickets can be bought from Martin Evans on 07443 039893.
