The MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford discusses issues such as the EU referendum

Pupils from Bexleyheath Academy headed to the Houses of Parliament last week to question MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford David Evennett on a range of topics.

Mr Evennett was quizzed on issues such as the European Union referendum, refugees, the electoral system, women in politics, and votes for 16-year-olds at the event on Wednesday, April 13.

The MP also gave pupils a brief talk about Westminster Hall, before discussing his career outside of politics as a teacher and insurance broker.

He went on to discuss his inspiration to get involved in politics and his current ministerial positions as Lord Commissioner of HM Treasury and the Minister for Sport, Tourism and Heritage.
