Bexleyheath Academy teacher Stuart Kerner will appear before Inner London Crown Court on November 4 where he will face a plea and case management hearing charged with 13 counts of sexual activity with a child.

The 42-year-old, of Russett Close, Aylesford, Kent, is alleged to have committed the offences between March 2011 and October last year.

He was charged on August 1 and appeared at Bexley Magistrates’ Court on August 19. The teacher was originally arrested on January 28 of this year.

Kerner appeared at the crown court today.

Bexleyheath Academy principal Carl Wakefield has since released a statement reassuring parents and carers about the safety of their children.
