Bexleyheath care home to spend grant on garden

PUBLISHED: 17:00 08 August 2013

A Bexleyheath care home is spending an £80,000 grant on a brand new garden for residents.

Adelaide Care Home, in West Street, has been awarded the money by the Kings Fund, a charitable organisation that is working to improve health care in the country, and work is due to start next month.

It was keen to make its garden better for its residents and submitted a detailed proposal which will create a great space for them. Adelaide was thrilled to receive the fund.

Home manager Kim Brown said: “We worked really hard to put together the submission as we would love to use our large garden space fully.”

“We are really excited about our new garden and are keen to get the transformation underway. The residents will love what their new garden will have to offer.”
