A memorial in June will mark the 70th anniversary of D-Day.

The service will begin at 11am on June 6 at the Oaklands Road war memorial, Bexleyheath.

Peter Holden, Chairman of the Bexley British Legion, said: “Any veterans or families of veterans would be welcome.”

Peter said he believed that two veterans were set to attend, as well as the Mayor, Cllr Sharon Massey.
