The shop is expecting a surge in demand when the title is released

A Bexleyheath video game shop is getting ready to open its doors at midnight to coincide with the launch of the new FIFA title.

GAME in the Broadway Shopping Centre will be open from 12am until 2am on the night of September 28-29 in anticipation of gamers eager to get their hands on EA’s new Super 17 FIFA.

A football-crazy team of assistants will put in the extra hours as fans are expected to arrive by bus, car and on foot.

Store manager Ash Bechara said: “It will be every man and woman on side from midnight onwards.

“On past experience with the release of previous FIFA games there have been queues all along the street. We expect nothing less this time, especially with the high numbers of pre-orders we’ve had.

“We’ve done midnight openings on a number of occasions before so we are aiming for everything to run smoothly with no unnecessary delays so that FIFA enthusiasts can get home and start playing.”
