A Bexleyheath teenager has taken the opportunity to interview film star Bill Murray on the red carpet at the premiere of his new film.
Tara Gilmore, 16, got the chance thanks to her involvement with education charity FILMCLUB and went to the first showing of Hyde Park on Hudson in Leicester Square last week.
The Townley Grammar schoolgirl was thrilled at the opportunity to meet Hollywood legend Murray, who has starred in films such as Ghostbusters, Groundhog Day and Lost in Translation.
Tara said: “The premiere of Hyde Park on Hudson was pretty chaotic but I managed to get a question to Bill Murray so I’m happy.
“I’ve learnt that reporters definitely have to be ruthless and overall I had a great time.”
Hyde Park on Hudson sees Murray play former US president Franklin D. Roosevelt, marking the first time a British monarch (King George VI) had visited America, just before the start of the Second World War.
Tara has previously reported from the premieres for films Fast Girls and Abduction as well as The British Independent Film Awards.
FILMCLUB is a nationwide charity which helps schools set up and run film clubs for their students.
