Bexleyheath town centre facing traffic disruptions

PUBLISHED: 09:17 18 December 2012

Major traffic disruptions are due to hit Bexleyheath next month when roadworks resume in the town centre.

From January 14, Albion Road will be one-way from Broadway to Townley Road, as will Broadway from Graham Road to Albion Road and Highland Road from Albion Road to Broadway.

These diversions are expected to be in operation for up to five months, and when finished will see the introduction of a new roundabout in Albion Road, new shared-space areas at Trinity Place and Christ Church on the Broadway, and an improved crossing at the corner of the Broadway to the pedestrianised area near Asda.

They are part of the Bexleyheath Town Centre Revitalisation Scheme.
