Bikes take to the bus lanes

BUS lanes were opened up to motorcyclists in an 18-month trial promised by the Mayor of London.

BUS lanes were opened up to motorcyclists in an 18-month trial promised by the Mayor of London.

Certain red route bus lanes in Bromley and Greenwich were opened up to bikers on Monday.

In Bromley Common, a stretch of around 600 metres has been opened up near Norman Park.

Another stretch of around 500 metres will open in Bromley Road near Beckenham station.

Between Eltham Hill and Lee High Road bikers will be able to use lanes.

In Shooters Hill, Academy Road will be opened up with part of Well Hall Road.

Many routes into Lewisham will also be included, but no bus lanes in Bexley will be opened to motorcycles.
