Blackfen School for Girls’ first musical production in 20 years starts a two-day run on Thursday (March 14).

The all-female cast from the Sidcup school will bring to life Oliver! with a 14-piece band and classic songs such as Food Glorious Food.

Ellena Restrick, who plays Fagin, said: “Committing to Oliver! has been tough. It’s hard work, but the sense of achievement after a good rehearsal makes it worth it.”

Ellie Fulcher, who plays Mrs Sowerberry added: “As two of the older cast members we have enjoyed the responsibility for supporting the younger girls with their roles.”
