Blackfen School for Girls’ first musical production in 20 years starts a two-day run on Thursday (March 14).

The all-female cast from the Sidcup school will bring to life Oliver! with a 14-piece band and classic songs such as Food Glorious Food.

Ellena Restrick, who plays Fagin, said: “Committing to Oliver! has been tough. It’s hard work, but the sense of achievement after a good rehearsal makes it worth it.”

Ellie Fulcher, who plays Mrs Sowerberry added: “As two of the older cast members we have enjoyed the responsibility for supporting the younger girls with their roles.”

The show starts at 7pm both nights, call 0208 300 1887 for ticket information.
