Break-in investigation leads police to £800k cannabis haul

Police investigating a break-in later found a cannabis factory containing plants with a street value of about £800,000.

They were called to Plastic Red Nightclub, Station Road, Sidcup, on December 20, and further enquiries led them to discover the factory with more than 200 plants in Pratt’s Bottom.

Police also found a firearm and ammunition, and arrested three people.

Michael Ross, 64, of Norstead Lane, Pratt’s Bottom, was charged with possession with intent to supply cannabis, production of cannabis, possession of a prohibited firearm, possession of ammunition and abstracting electricity. Christine Ross, 59, of the same address, was charged with possession with intent to supply cannabis, production of cannabis, possession of a prohibited firearm, possession of ammunition and abstracting electricity, and Anthony Parsons, 42, of Iron Mill Lane, Dartford, was charged with possession with intent to supply cannabis and production of cannabis. They will appear at Inner London Crown Court on January 13.
