A ROCK concert is to be held in memory of killed GCSE student Jimmy Mizen.

Sparkle, in memory of the Thomas More schoolboy from Lee, will be held at the Astoria 2, in central London, on October 11.

The night will feature south-east London bands and will be headlined by Jimmy's elder brother Tommy, 26, and his band Tested Material.

Jimmy Mizen was killed at the Three Cooks Bakery in Burnt Ash Hill, Lee, on May 10, making him the 13th London teen killed in a violent incident this year.

Twenty seven teenagers have been killed in London in 2008, including Faridon Alizada, 18, in Erith, Sunday Essiet, 15, in Woolwich, and Rob Knox, 18, in Sidcup.

Organisers have sold 600 tickets to Sparkle out of a possible 1,000. They cost £10 and can be brought from www.seetickets.com.
