A budding actor from Sidcup has landed a role in a major new television series with former Happy Days star Ron Howard.
Nine-year-old Ryan Masher, who attends The Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts in Chislehurst and Sidcup, recently filmed My Name Is Lenny with Mad Max: Fury Road star Josh Helman.
The film tells the life story of one of Britain’s most notorious bare-knuckle fighters, Lenny McLean, also known as the Guv’nor.
Details of the new TV series have yet to be revealed, but Ryan will appear alongside the former Happy Days star and award-winning director of films such as A Beautiful Mind.
Principal of PQA Chislehurst and Sidcup Amy Allen said: “I was immensely proud when I found out that Ryan had secured the screen roles. Ryan is a talented and committed individual and totally deserving of the roles, he is an asset to the Academy and we are all very excited for him and his future.”
PQA Chislehurst and Sidcup runs every Saturday at Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar School for youngsters aged from four to 18.
