PUPILS have won a competition for growing one of the heaviest crops of potatoes in their school garden.

PUPILS have won a competition for growing one of the heaviest crops of potatoes in their school garden.

The children at Saint Paulinus Primary School in Mill Lane, Crayford, beat off competition from thousands of schools to win the Potato Council's Grow Your Own Potatoes Competition, on Monday.

Their 4,000g crop of Vales Emerald potatoes made them one of three schools to win a digital camera from the Potato Council.
