Marius-Claudiu Hantu didn’t turn up for his trial

Police are hunting for a burglar who has gone on the run after breaking into a pub in Bexley.

Marius-Claudiu Hantu didn’t turn up at Bromley Magistrates Court for his trial – but was convicted in his absence of burgling a pub in the Broadway, Bexleyheath, last year.

Warrants have since been issued at Croydon Crown Court for him to stand trial for a further two burglary offences.

Hantu, 26, was last known to be living in Deptford, but police cannot find him.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts should call police on 020 8284 9142 between 7am and 10pm, or 101 outside these times.
