Burst water main causing disruption for motorists on A2 near Falconwood

Thames Water has sent engineers to the site

Work to repair a burst water main has caused disruption for motorists on the A2 this morning (Tuesday).

Those using the Falconwood off-slip along the westbound carriageway have faced a partial restriction as Thames Water engineers work at the site.

The part-restriction has caused delays on the A2, as well as nearby Crown Woods Way, Orchard Rise West, Riefield Road.

A spokesperson from Thames Water said: “The leak on East Rochester Way was repaired at 2am this morning.

“The team are currently backfilling the section of road in question.

“We expect the traffic management to be removed and to be off site by early afternoon. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.”
