Pedestrians and rail passengers in Welling are set to face disruption this weekend, as work begins to remove a footbridge.

The bridge, which crosses over the station’s railway line, is to be totally removed and replaced by Network Rail.

On Sunday, a bus replacement service will be in place for passengers.

The Gipsy Hill footbridge will be taken away, and a new one lifted in place, with work expected to finish by Monday.
