Canine competition could win you prizes

A DOG show is due to be held at a park open day. The Friends of Shrewsbury Park, in Shooters Hill, are holding an open day at the park this Saturday between 1pm and 4pm.

The Friends of Shrewsbury Park, in Shooters Hill, are holding an open day at the park this Saturday between 1pm and 4pm.

Categories in the Wag 'n' Bone Dog Show include best dressed dog for collars and leads, dogs who look most like their owners, cutest puppy, waggiest tail, best rescue dog, best tricks and best child handler.

First, second and third prizes will be given in each of the above groups.

Registrations need to be made by 1pm with all dogs on leads. Entry is 50p per dog.

Other treats include tea and cake stall, orienteering for kids, face-painting, butterfly stall, drawings inspired by the park and allotment tours.
