A 59-year-old man was one of seven people arrested when police swooped on a gang suspected of drug trafficking.

Working with HM Revenue and Customs and the UK Border Agency, Met Police officers found a boat loaded with 25 kilos of cannabis at Dover harbour last month.

They arrested 43-year-old man and a woman, aged 27, as they brought the boat into Dover harbour on June 28 and then launched a series of other connected arrests at various home addresses.

These included a 59-year-old man from Swanley, a 55-year-old man from Sidcup and two men aged 22 and 44 from Meopham.
