A CHARITY 'mega store' opened on Tuesday as shoppers were encouraged to beat the credit crunch and even shop online.

Sense launched a new store in Bexley Road, North Heath, Erith, at the former Co-op store on Tuesday at 10am.

And those people looking for a bargain can even shop online for antiques, jewellery and clothes at www.sense.org.uk.

Regional manager Christine Dennison said: "Sense's charity shops have been rated as amongst the UK's very best by Sunday Times Style. We're often lucky enough to end up with some great pieces. It could be a vintage number or you could pick up this season's must have item and help the work we do to support deafblind people in the process!"

The charity shop is appealing for donations of books, music, clothes, electrical items and bric a brac and is welcoming new volunteers.
