Charlton extended their unbeaten Championship run to five games on Saturday, as they snatched a 1-0 win away to Birmingham.
Dale Stephens scored the only goal of the game just before the hour mark, which proved enough for all three points - lifting The Addicks into 17th in the league.
The goal was only the 10th in the Championship this season for Charlton, with Stephens tapping into an open net after good work from Bradley Pritchard.
Birmingham struggled to break through Charlton’s defence, with Chris Powell’s men giving up little space at the back through the game. Ben Hamer was called into action just once in the away goal, saving well from a tame Lee Novak effort.
Stephens squandered a chance before the break, but made no mistake as Pritchard set up the winner following a Cameron Stewart effort that was parried by Birmingham ‘keeper Darren Rudolph.
Charlton next face Leeds at The Valley on Saturday, hoping to continue their fine league form.
