A YOUNG gymnast has been given more than £1,000 to help reach her Olympic dream.

A YOUNG gymnast has been given more than £1,000 to help reach her Olympic dream.

Tayla Chilver, 11, from Eltham was given £1,173.75 last Wednesday to help her to fulfil her ambition of one day representing Great Britain in the Olympics.

The money, which was raised by staff at the Bexleyheath branch of Woolworths, will be used to pay for Tayla's training fees, competition expenses and her kit.

Next month the schoolgirl, who trains at the Europa gym, Fraser Road, Erith,

six times a week, will be attempting

to qualify for the junior British

gymnastic championships.
