Cocaine smugglers to appeal

TWO men who were jailed for a total of 55 years in Ireland s largest drugs seizure have lodged appeals.

TWO men who were jailed for a total of 55 years in Ireland's largest drugs seizure have lodged appeals.

Perry Wharrie, 49, from Loughton, and Joe Daly, 41, from Bexley, were found guilty last month for their part in the bungled smuggling of £350 million of cocaine.

The pair lodged appeals last Friday against conviction and sentence, with the Court of Criminal Appeal in Dublin.
