A COMMUTER was killed after he tried to get back on a moving train where he had left something.

David Robert Davies, 38, of Fairlawn Avenue, Bexleyheath was on the 4.33pm train from Charing Cross to Crayford last Friday.

Police said Mr Davies got off at Barnehurst but realised he had left something on the train and tried to get back on it when he fell onto the tracks, where he died.

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said Mr Davies died at the scene.

Police are not treating the death as suspicious. An inquest was opened and adjourned at Croydon Coroners Court on Tuesday.
