A lucky competition winner from Bexleyheath got the chance to ride with cycling ace Chris Boardman after scooping two £1,000 bikes.
Tracey Woolmore and husband Trevor rode out of the Halfords Support Centre in Redditch on Friday, June 10, with the Olympic gold medal winner and Jamie Mitchell of Boardman bikes.
Mrs Woolmore, on her new Boardman Road Pro Carbon SLR, and her husband, on his Boardman Road Pro Carbon, rode through Studley, Great Alne, Aston Cantlow and Wootton Wawen.
After the ride, she commented: “I’m a huge fan of Chris Boardman; I never thought I would win. The ride out was great, they took it very gently and we were chatting all the way round.”
Mr Boardman said: “It’s great when someone with a true love for cycling wins these competitions. Tracey has planned some fantastic events over the coming months and is doing her new Pro Carbon SLR road bike proud.
“Riding with her and her husband on Friday through the Warwickshire countryside was a real pleasure, we talked all the way discussing everything from the tour to diving locations to cycle safety and even found time for a nice coffee in the sunshine.”
