A MAN has died after his sports car hit a lamppost.

A MAN has died after his sports car hit a lamppost.

Brian James Bowers, 38, from Woolwich suffered head injuries after his red Nissan 300 ZX coupe hit a lamppost in Artillery Place, Woolwich, on Thursday, September 4, at approximately 8pm.

He was taken to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, where he died the next day at 11.57pm.

An inquest into his death opened and adjourned at Southwark Coroner's court last Tuesday.
