A WOMAN driving with a baby and teenager died after her car was hit from behind coming out of a roundabout.

A WOMAN driving with a baby and teenager died after her car was hit from behind coming out of a roundabout.

The 57-year-old woman died at the Royal London Hospital last Thursday after a Honda Jazz hit the back of her Micra near the Sun in Sands Roundabout, Greenwich last Monday 21.

The crash occurred at 10.50pm in Rochester Way, heading towards the Blackwall Tunnel from the roundabout.

Ambulance crews originally said the baby in the victim's car escaped injury, but police now say it is in hospital with a head injury.

A 14-year-old boy in the Nissan is also in hospital with serious head injuries, but neither child's condition is thought to be life threatening.

The driver of the Honda Jazz was uninjured.
