The vandalised Crayford War Memorial

Heartless vandals have seriously damaged Crayford War Memorial for the second time.

It was discovered by Bexley council maintenance staff on Tuesday (September 11).

The stones around the memorial were ripped off and the decorative lights underneath were damaged. The stones have been removed until the memorial has been repaired.

Police are urging residents and shop owners to report any information they might have about the incident.

It is the second time the site has been vandalised since moving to Waterside Gardens as part of a regeneration in the town three years ago.
