Harvinder Shoker has been sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering Bexleyheath TV executive Gagandip Singh.

He was found guilty of killing the 21-year-old entrepreneur who ran Sikh TV by a majority at the Old Bailey last week.

Today Judge Paul Worsley sentenced 20-year-old Shoker of Charlton Park Lane, Greenwich, to life imprisonment for killing Mr Singh in February last year. The body of the Greenwich University student was discovered in the boot of a burning car in Blackheath.

Sentencing is continuing at the court and his co-defendant Darren Peters, of Shooters Hill Road in Blackheath, faces custody after the jury convicted him of manslaughter.

Medical student Mundill Mahil, 20, of Maidstone Road, Chatham, was found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm and also faces a jail sentence.

All three denied murder.
