Sidcup Post Office given modern look and longer opening hours

Sidcup Post Office will be modernised into a new open plan branch with longer opening hours for customers.

It will be closed for refurbishment on May 7 and opening again on May 20.

The branch, situated on Sidcup High Street, will have six serving positions and be adapted into an open-plan branch.

Opening hours will be extended, and the branch will be open from 8.30am to 5.30pm on Mondays to Thursdays and 9am to 5.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

Post Office Area Manager Keith Long said: “We understand how important the Post Office is to residents around Sidcup and we are confident that this new modern Post Office service will meet the needs of the local community and secure services for the future.

“This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office and marks a commitment to no more branch closure programmes.”
