AN UNEMPLOYED father shot dead at his home was unlawfully killed, an inquest has found.

Sidcup-born Daniel King, 51, also known as 'Shep', was shot four times at his house in Medina Road, Ditton, on October 17 last year.

An inquest into Mr King's death was held at County Hall in Maidstone last Wednesday where police officers said they were still investigating the murder. Police officers found his body shortly after 3am and Detective Chief Inspector Jon Bumpus, who is leading the inquiry, said the circumstances at the scene clearly pointed to a death due to violence. Mr King was married to Celia, aged 50.
